This is actually my third week back at work, but my first in London. The trains and tubes were empty(mostly) and I even found a coffee shop open. The only downside was the fannying about on the tubes.
The quarantine time was hell, and I achieved fuck all apart from an extra stone in weight. Luckily, I was rewarded with a little extra money which has set me up for a few months without worry.
With the streets being empty and the weather being good, it has not been too bad so far.
I’m just by Whitechapel.
Lunch was uneventful. Luckily, there is a Sainsbury’s around the corner.
I got a watch with my new phone. It’s very informative. All I can tell you at the moment is:
- My heart rate is quite high. 84 bpm resting.
- My stress meter goes through the roof whenever the boss turns up.
- I only average around an hour REM sleep a night.
But, I’m back at work. The only form of exercise I need to get back to proper form.
I wonder if M&S is open? Mmmm! Cow lager!
I survived it. I washed the London scum off my bloated corpse and played a little COD. I soon felt normal(for me) again.
I hope I win the lottery.
Thursday, 28th May 2020.
Another lovely morning. I still haven’t got my holiday money back from Tui. Dodgy fuckers! It would be a nice as all my socks have holes.
Today we are fitting the most, pointlessly, expensive door sensors you can imagine. It has probably cost the firm in excess of 15K just to fit them in every floor(7 floors).
Hmm? Assessment of last nights sleep?
That’s that then. New job tomorrow. Old Street.
A word to the wise. Never, ever, fucking ever tell me how I’m feeling or what makes me feel a certain way. You can never, ever know how “I” am feeling.
Friday, 19th May 2020.
Morning has broken and I’m on my way to Old Street. Not very exciting I know but I’m out the house.
It was hot and sweaty. Not helped by the helmets, face masks, eye protection and gloves that we have to wear. Put it this way, I’ve done a lot more sweating than pissing!
I’ve just had a burger delivered from Z Burger. I’m just waiting to have an appetite. I ordered a much smaller food delivery this week. Only 70 quid!
That will make this months total for food approximately 470 quid! There was some booze in that, maybe a hundred but it doesn’t include anything Carter has bought……..
Saturday, 30th May 2020.
I’ve managed to miss out most of Saturday, playing COD and doing washing. I accumulated another £70 food shopping, £50 on pot and another 50 on sundries.
Money runs through my fingers like water!
Sunday, 31st May 2020.
Today rolled the same way. Made dinner, did washing, Played a bit of guitar and a bit more COD.
Later I ordered some crepes and milkshakes. I just fancied it.
